For more than 50 years, Hughes Health & Rehabilitation has been part of the fabric of the West Hartford community.  Our facility, located at 29 Highland Street, is part of the town’s history as well as the location of a state-of-the-art facility that provides an environment conducive to the resident’s recovery. 

The needs of our residents and their families do not take breaks on weekends and holidays, so Hughes admits and discharges residents seven days a week, 365 days a year.  Similarly, our business office is open every day to take care of financial needs, and therapeutic recreation programs are offered for residents daily by our trained staff.

Our employees are a devoted group of trained and dedicated nursing, rehabilitation and medical professionals and support staff who provide an environment conducive to the resident’s recovery. 

We also provide our residents with a medical director, attending and consulting physicians, full-time ADA-registered dietician, and an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), as well as a dentist and podiatrist.

Hughes is a true melting pot as demonstrated by the fact that our staff speaks 27 different languages. This ensures we can communicate effectively with people of many different ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
